Drawing on the analysis of a work by the Turkish artist Kutlug Ataman, the introduction presents the some of the analytical perspectives through which anthropology has studied the body. It illustrates the main features of embodiment as a paradigm proposed by Thomas Csordas. Finally, it sum up the content of the articles collected in the volume, highlighting the specific ways in which the authors enter dialogue with Csordas' theoretical approachDownloads
